I completed my bachelor’s degree at Mercer University, Atlanta Campus in 2005. I then went on to pursue my master’s degree in taxation at Georgia State University, graduating in 2010. I passed the CPA exam and was issued my CPA license in 2009. I started my career downtown working for the Georgia Department of Audits, auditing various state government agencies. I then moved into "CPA Firm" life. I started in a small firm in Dunwoody and ended up at a large national firm around 2016. I have worked with an array of clients and businesses. I started Anchor Tax & Accounting in 2019 in Alpharetta and moved the practice to Cumming GA in 2023.

I have a son in high school. He plays in the marching band at North Forsyth High School and is currently learning to drive! I have 3 dogs Tin Man (terrier mix), Biscuit (we will get back to this) and Roxy (a Maltese, Shih Tzu, toy poodle mix). Back to Biscuit. I rescued him as a puppy from the humane society and was told he was a corgi. Nine years later he weighs in at 100 pounds, is tall, and does not have one characteristic of a corgi! I was raised in Gwinnett County and moved to Forsyth in 2016. I enjoy being outdoors whether it’s working in the yard, small hikes, time on the lake, or driving through the mountains.

I graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from NGCSU (now University of North Georgia) in Dahlonega, GA in December of 2006. Since then, I have worked for 2 small firms in the accounting and tax industry. In 2023, I obtained my Enrolled Agent designation, which is the highest credential offered by the IRS and allows me to represent clients in front of the IRS. As I have spent my career working for small firms, I have experience handling a wide array of small business accounting and tax needs including bookkeeping, payroll, sales tax, AR, AP, individual and corporate tax preparation and much else. I thoroughly enjoy real time accounting, where I get to be part of every facet of a company’s accounting and bookkeeping needs from invoicing to asset management and everything in between daily.

I have 23-year-old twins that I am immensely proud of and a very large family I am incredibly close to. I was originally born in Michigan, moved to South Florida for 7 years and have been in Georgia since 1994. I currently live in Dahlonega, and I absolutely love it! I love spending time with family and friends trying new restaurants, going to the theater, or simply hanging out and laughing together. I adore my work and couldn’t imagine doing anything else! I appreciate the trust placed in me by my clients and enjoy building lasting client relationships.

My name is Tonia Rumfola, and I am proud to be a part of the Anchor Tax and Accounting team. With over 15 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping, I bring a deep commitment to helping clients navigate their financial and tax needs with confidence and clarity.

My professional journey began in Louisiana, where I spent the early years of my career as a tax professional for six years, and I was an Office Manager for a Neurologist for 15 years. Since then, I have continued to expand my expertise in accounting and tax preparation, earning my annual filing season participant certification and currently pursuing my Enrolled Agent (EA) certification to further enhance the services I provide.

After relocating to Georgia two years ago, I joined Anchor Tax and Accounting in January 2025. I am dedicated to delivering personalized, reliable, and knowledgeable support to individuals and businesses alike.

Outside of work, I am a proud parent of three children and a grandparent to four wonderful grandchildren. I also share my home with my cat, ZZ Top. I look forward to working with you and helping you achieve your financial goals.
